Super Eye Spex Became the Main Optical provider to Humber College

This is the biggest deal in my company. We worked hard and manage to sign a contract with humber college by offering services to students that cannot be found no where else.

I am very delighted about this. But we have a lot of work to do in coordinating this events.

I will keep you updated of any developments

We signed a contract with Broan Nutune Canada

This part was hard. I wanted to start offering B2B services and didn't know how to go about it. Thank God for networks. I met the right people that led me to the right department and i ended up signing a contract with the company called Broan Canada.

This is hard and the journey still continues. Being a young business man isn't easy. But when you believe in your self, there is nothing impossible.

Super eye spex signs contract with PR FIRM

Pennant Media Group is now handling all aspects of marketing, promotions and public relations for SuperEyeSpex Optical, a company launched in Nov./07 in Toronto to provide eyewear for Canadians both online and at a recently-opened office-showroom in Mississauga, Ont..

SuperEyeSpex Optical is believed to be the only Canadian optical company to offer a 'Virtual Mirror' option, which allows customers can upload their picture online and virtually try on glasses in the comfort of their own homes. The images can be rotated and resized to fit the specific contours of their face ensuring a perfect fit.

Owner of SuperEyeSpex Optical is 24-year-old Samuel Babarinde. As a university student in London, Eng., Babarinde encountered vision problems and needed glasses for schooling, but was not prepared for the sticker shock of what he thought were regular everyday spectacles. Forced to purchase them, the experience lit a yearning curiosity and an entrepreneurial vision – to save the public millions by undercutting the established prices of major competitors.

Babarinde’s curiosity led him to Canada, where, after research, he launched SuperEyeSpex Optical, an online optical store coupled with an office showroom where customers can browse and buy his selection of prescription and designer eyewear.

In an $8 billion dollar industry, SuperEyeSpex Optical offers discounted prices, selling complete prescription glasses starting as low as $60. Complimentary accessories include scratch resistance, single vision prescription lenses, hard cases, lens cleaners and cleaning cloths.

SuperEyeSpex Optical has Canadian and American suppliers. It does not have any suppliers from China or its own manufacturing plants.

Working with Babarinde are Kenai Andrews, CFO and media relations director, and Richard Afolabi, managing director.

“Our main interest is to make our customers happy, simply by offering them exactly what’s asked for according to how they want it and also by donating eyeglasses to the less fortunate,” says Babarinde. The company plans to donate new eyeglasses to developing countries like India, Sudan, Kenya and Pakistan in great need of optical care, and also announced a planned donation of $250,000 worth of prescription eyeglasses to high school students in the Greater Toronto Area within one year.

The company currently advertises primarily using flyers, with 36,000 flyers distributed in Etobicoke and Mississauga two weeks ago. A SuperEyeSpex Optical Street Team earlier distributed flyers in downtown Toronto in July/August.

SuperEyeSpex Opticals’ online store is located at www.supereyespex.ca.

Dissapointments from investors

I basically told the guy that was suppose to invest into my business to forget about investing and this is the reason why. He is not a serious individual. I realised that he loves to pull me backwards when am trying to move forward. HE always has stories to tell about everything. So i decided to tell me to forget about investing into my business

MAny people are just dreamers not an accomplisher. I am a big dreamer as well as an accomplisher. When i have a dream i go after the dream and never give up until i make my dream come true.

I have decided to go after the CYBF loan which i am confident i will get. There after i intend to open an office advertise my site through flyers and posters as well as give 50% offers to universities and colleges. Am sure something will pull off in a real good time. I might be feeling down right now but am sure its all going to be alright in a min.

This is my story for those who wants to learn.

APRIL 2007

The beginning of any business is very hard especially if you starting from scratch with limited finances.

I have been running www.supereyespex.com online for almost a year now and i am now looking to expand. Things are proving a little bit difficult but i know i will make it

My Plan for April 2008

- Re design my website in flash
- Advertise using flayers into peoples homes
- Approach different colleges, Universities and companies about the discount offers
- Get a office in downtown Toronto.

I am getting an office so that people can come in and try their glasses on if they need to before they purchase it.

I am working very hard on this and i believe it will soon work out

Today is April 16 2008 and its 6:06pm here in Toronto.

I went to the lab today and spoke to my technician that makes my prescription lenses. He gave me great prices for the lenses and told me what to work on in order to make the site look very presentable.

I WILL MAKE IT AND WONT GIVE UP UNTIL I DO.
